Crafts Village in Ta` Qali (approx. 105,000sqm cluster) is located in the former RAF (Royal Air Force) wartime airfield and is a very popular tourist attraction in Malta.
The site of the village has undergone a total regeneration. Works included creating modern infrastructure and facilities as well as services and landscaping.
All the infrastructural works were carried out by Malta Industrial Parks. Investments of around Euro 13 million was made through acquisition of European funds and private investment made by the operators themselves.
Main aim for the regeneration of the village is not only to provide a better working place for operators already located in the Crafts Village, but also to create a public space for families.
This project concerns the development of car parks, including areas that are specifically for busses, as well as various green areas.
